SF, the Socialist People’s Party, was founded in in 1959 by Aksel Larsen. In the 2007 election SF achieved 23 seats in Folketinget, the Danish Parliament, and the number of party members almost doubled counting 15.000 members. The increase has continued and now in, 2010, SF has a member volume of 18.000.
SF is a modern left-wing party built on values such as freedom, community, equality and security which are the basis of all SF politics.
SF works for a welfare society giving all Danes equal access to good hospitals, free education, a dignified elder-care and quality day-care.
SF also stands for an ambitious climate policy. We believe that green awareness must be encouraged and the price of eco-cars and public transportation must be lowered. Furthermore, we want to invest massively in renewable energy at the same time creating jobs in Denmark and protecting climate and environment.
SF has together with the Danish Social Democrats laid out an economic plan for Denmark, the Fair Solution-program where you can read more about our politics and how we propose meeting the future challenges of Denmark. (Link)
